FILM, TV, RADIO DRAMA, THEATRE

For more than 30 years Philip Pickett and his ensembles have been researching, arranging, performing, recording and broadcasting a broader and more catholic repertoire than any other early music ‘specialists’ in the world - from the medieval Carmina Burana through Praetorius, Monteverdi and Bach to Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert - with occasional folk, commercial, theatre, film and pop music thrown-in for good measure. They love all of it, especially studio work and multi-tracking, and have always enjoyed working with composers and musicians on the fringes of (or completely outside) the classical mainstream. In the late 1970s Philip Pickett was a member of the Albion Band and to this day continues his association with luminaries of the folk-rock world like Richard Thompson, Ashley Hutchings and Fairport Convention.
